With so few carbon-emitting villains getting all the blame, it's good to see one picture that tells the whole story. As I suspected, passenger cars -- even Hummers -- may not be the worst offenders. According to the EPA, passenger cars and light duty trucks (in which I think SUVs are included) compose a significant amount of carbon (1.2 billion tons) to be sure, but it pales compared to electricity generated from coal (1.9 billion tons). It's harder to see the carbon footprint to buildings, however, as it part of several categories.
I had heard that 2 cows can power an average California home, presumably with their gaseous emissions -- which had ruined the pastoral beauty of cows grazing in the fields. But now I see it the context of the whole (methane from ruminants: 110 tons).

the article like this deserve an appreciation. some are doing blogs or a forum, but they never see if its useful to all and it can help to others for their needs. I like your blog keep posting.
