SAN DIEGO, CA (SolidWorks World 2014) - You won't find a smaller company exhibiting at SolidWorks World. Chris Vaught, founder/owner, is all there is to CMV Technologies, maker of Flatter Files -- except maybe a family member who might be called in for spot duty. But sometimes, a product can be quite simple, and in its simplicity, it only needs to do one thing.
Chris provides an elegant solution to one vexing problem: not being able to access drawing files. Drawing files are often locked away in flat file cabinets. The modern day equivalent, the document management system, is expensive, hard to set up -- and you still may have to be in the building.
Flatter Files stores SolidWorks drawings on cloud so you can view them anywhere and on any device, a iPhone, iPad or an Android device or computer. You don't need a SolidWorks license.
Pricing is based only on the number of SolidWorks users in a company, meaning everyone else can use it for free. A license for a company with 10-20 users can be had for $1500 a year.
