STAYTON, Oregon, August 1, 2009 - Every who started today's ride is now finished. But it was not without its cost. The temperature held in the 70s as we did the first 50 miles but started ramping up until it got into the 90s by ride end. It was a valiant effort to finish under the blazing sun. At least one rider is severely dehydrated. It's hard to believe our average speed was over 17 mph. I think we were motivated by the showers at the end of the ride...and chilled champagne, a bonus for our team raising the most for any corporate team. The champagne has yet to materialize.
The day in pictures follows, but do excuse the quality of some as they were taken from a moving bike.
